March 2025 Update: We're SOOOOO happy to announce our first group of 12 students - our founding families - are almost done with semester 2! We are so excited for the progress each of them has made and grateful for the feedback from both parents and students to help us improve our systems and curriculum for a better tomorrow! Great things are coming! Let's Learn!
At the core, my vision for Aegis Schools is to create an educational alliance with parents to offer a well-rounded educational program for children in the homeschooling community.
Our program is for families who are looking for a partner that will provide the core curriculum and lessons for the school year, a little bit of accountability (when & where needed), assessments to determine any skills gaps and a plan to help bridge the skills gap(s).
Does that sound like something you're looking for? If so, let's learn more about our program!
Our program believes we retain:
With this in mind, we believe we have developed quite a good program to incorporate all of these with our online and offline practice.
Are you the leader or owner of a mirco-education program?
Homeschool cooperative, learning pod, micro or hybrid school?
We can help make your program stand out by customizing the Aegis Schools model to meet your needs. Email me at: jenniludy@gmail.com if you are interested.
Aegis School is a year-round program with 3 semesters
Our Traditional Model has a new school year beginning in September of each year. The official new school year.
You are free to enroll at any time. We accept new enrollments for each semester. The term you start in is designated as "the beginning or semester 1" of your school year. Enrollments completed within 30 days of a new term cannot be guaranteed placed in that ter. These enrollments will most often be placed in the next term. Ex: if you enroll in August, your semester start date will be in January. Due to testing requirements and skill plan building, we need the time to properly assess each student via IXL.
We will utilize two programs for Math.
IXL - for computer literacy portion, skill tracking, assessments to keep students on track.
YouTube curated videos to help deliver additional resources to help students learning new skills.
Workbook style problems to help with the application portion of the skill for better retention rates. Currently, we utilize The Good & Beautiful curriculum as it has a free PDF download. We will align TGB curriculum with the IXL curriculum to allow for online and offline skill mastery.
We will use the scaffolding method allowing students to work at their natural pace and abilities to grow into more and more confident learners.
A years' worth of Math and language arts will be spread out over three semesters allowing for a more natural pace to learn and acquire solid foundational skills.
Literature Selections: We will curate literature for each semester for students to read. It is our goal to find quality literature that is offered free of charge to families. Although we offer links to free online resources (many are read alouds), it is highly recommended that students have physical books to build reading skills and stamina.
A list will be published prior to the start of each semester.
This is an inquiry and project-based learning curriculum developed specifically for this school. Each student will take a subject at least 3 times in grades 1-8, with each level builds upon the last.
Grades 1,4 & 7:
Grade 2, 5, & 8:
Grade 3 and 6:
Grades 9-12: In Development
At a minimum, we will provide the core 4 subjects for your students. Parents provide student with electives based on their interests and goals.
Transcripts (based on our program and your academic portfolio) and a diploma.
Students will use Scripture Quest to study the Bible.
Students at each level will have the opportunity to read through the Bible 4 times over their K-12 education journey.
This curriculum is dedicated to families who are Pagan or interested in an Earth-centered curriculum to learn about the 8 Sabbats. This curriculum is designed to start approximately 5 weeks before each Sabbat to allow students time to learn and explore each.
